Comfortable, flexible and supportive – the MTN Trainer 2 is a versatile low-cut alpine approach shoe with a high-quality 1.6-millimetre suede leather upper and a Vibram outsole. Inside, the waterproof GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort membrane lets your feet breathe while protecting them from the elements and the soft textile lining fabric wicks moisture away for additional comfort. There is also a protective stretch gaiter under the laces to keep rain and groundwater out.Designed in Montebelluna, the cradle of alpine footwear craftsmanship, this shoe has a unique lasted construction that is 15% lighter than the original. The women’s specific fit with contoured heel cups holds your feet comfortably in place and prevents slippage for more stability on descents. In addition, the expanded PU midsole provides long-lasting shock absorbency and rebound, helping decrease foot fatigue. We also give the high-quality upper a full 360° protective rubber rand for abrasion resistance and to protect your feet in rocky terrain.Underfoot, the multifunctional Vibram outsole gives agility and stability in rugged terrain. Its self-cleaning grooves and deep lugs guarantee good grip on rock and scree and optimal traction on softer ground, such as mud or grass. It also benefits from a special via ferrata tread zone before the heel that ensures better grip on the iron ladder rungs of via ferratas. The women’s MTN Trainer 2 also incorporates our proprietary 3F system for high flexibility, a more comfortable fit and greater support. With a cushioning OrthoLite foam footbed and climbing lacing that can be customised for technical terrain or casual use.The perfect solution for alpine trekking, scrambles and approaches on a variety of surfaces and in all weather conditions.
